It was first released in 1995 for MS-DOS, with the Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn ports following in 1997. OTOH, Valve saved me $100 today since the preorder for Steam Link doesn't drop cards so I'll just wait until it's actually available to spend the same amount rather than aiming for a final sale badge level.īATTLE REALMS + WINTER OF THE WOLF - $ 0.Crusader: No Remorse is an action game developed by Origin Systems and published by Electronic Arts. Just a case of "Welp, that's how much I actually spent" when I thought I was going to come out much lower. Other games were either a knee-jerk "Yep, I've wanted that for a while", a case of replacing older games with digital versions (GOG mostly, though Heretic+Hexen pack as well) or getting games that I own on a console but likely won't be able to play for a while unless I spend even more to get a new version of the console they're on (the Final Fantasies, I don't hate XIII like most and I really liked XIII-2) and, thus, spending even more than I did during the sale. Games like Life is Strange and Talos Principle I bought because I want them but I also want to commend the developers and reward them by not simply waiting until they're <$5. It's just that I spent more per title than I usually do. Which is why it's actually a much smaller list than what I've picked up in the past.

Only way I can not get depressed at my blantant consumer whoreismĮdit: This is the first sale in a long time that I didn't set a maximum goal and simply bought what I really wanted. ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON 3: PLATINUM! - $ 4.99ĮARTHWORM JIM 1+2: THE WHOLE CAN 'O WORMS - $ 3.99īATTLE REALMS + WINTER OF THE WOLF - $ 0.00Įven before that GOG had a mini "launching Galaxy" sale and I bought: ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON 2: TRIPLE THRILL PACK - $ 2.49 VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE - REDEMPTION - $ 1.49īALDUR'S GATE 2 ENHANCED EDITION - $ 7.99ĬOGNITION: GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION - $ 3.79ĭEADLY PREMONITION: DIRECTOR'S CUT - $ 2.49 They were much more challenging on the top difficulty, but I also suspect they're using slightly different rules and resource amounts than I am. I was kinda disappointed by the AI, at least on "normal" difficulty. I've still only played 1.5 games of Endless Legend, but knowing there are still completely new styles I haven't tried yet is promising. Unlike Civ, the different races here actually play quite differently due to their racial traits and unique techs/units. Usually upgrading one or two stats is very useful for your playstyle and unit type and upgrading other stats is just adding expense. Essentially, you can choose to make your units more expensive to then also be stronger units. It really took me half of my first AI game to really feel like I understood the game flow and unit upgrades. Looking forward to digging in more, though. I like the look and feel, but didn't get a great handle on unit upgrades. Someone also gifted me Endless Legend (from my wishlist), but I've only played the tutorial.
